CONTROLLED CHAOS
ABOUT
After playing around with piano wire as a means of creating three-dimensional patterns and linear volumes, I created an open - yet visually enclosing - wooden form to act as the wire’s guide. The wire was then strung through a series of spiraling holes, following a very specific pattern. The goal was to see how the wire would react to these constrictions, thus determining the position of the free-floating middle wooden tear, which was left “at the mercy” of the wire’s tension - illustrating “controlled chaos.”
