This photographic series was the product of an extensive form and material exploration.
I created a system in which a single form is translated into a different material through a different process every time - casting, vacuum forming, upholstering, etc. This gave me the ability to generate a plethora of forms that were visually related.
Each form carries into its new material-state a lot of visual similarities to its predecessor, while having a unique material quality. The part that became the most exciting was observing the different ways in which each new form played with the following 3 visual elements: line, plane and volume. Each material shift completely changed the hierarchy of the elements.
